Started early from
Langhorne Creek, wonderful sunrise over the vineyards straight
through the front window of the van at around about 7am.
Drove the small road to
Wellington and crossed the Murry River via ferry. The road ends at
the ferry gate and then starts again at the other side of the river.
The ferry is free and apparently runs 24/7 thanks to the SA
government. Great start of the day – and the first time on such a
small ferry.

Rather easy driving along
the limestone coast to Robe – my spot for the night. I enjoyed
several episodes of Bulletproof Radio, with some very interesting
interviews in regards to health, longevity and enhancing performance.
Robe is a holiday/fishing
town at the coast and has some lakes around as well. They have 4
caravan parks and I chose on of the smaller ones about 1km outside of
town where you have nice big, grass sites and not too much noise or
light pollution.
After having lunch and a
good coffee at Unison (free WiFi too, thanks!) I checked in at the
caravan park, played guitar, cleaned the van, re-organised the two
big food and cooking stuff boxes, had a quick afternoon nap and then
went for a run. The trail along the coast and beaches was mostly
gravel and had quite a few hills. Rather short 5.4km run as I wasn't
too happy with the trail.
As shown in the photos of
the rather spectacular cliffs and coast, the weather was cloudy,
windy and cool today.
One of the books I'm
reading currently is Marcus Aurelius Antonius – The Meditations of
the emperor Marcus Aurelius Antonius. While it is a translation from
these ancient words, it is still very difficult to read and at times
to follow. But it is astonishing which thoughts highly educated
people like Marcus Aurelius had back then. By the way, this book,
like many other classics that have no copyrights on them, is freely
available on Project Gutenberg, Ebook #6918)
One short section to share
– as it is an ever present thing: CHANGE
“36. Observe constantly
that all things take place by change, and accustom thyself to
consider that the nature of the universe loves nothing so much as to
change the things which are and to make new things like them. For
everything that exists is in a manner the seed of that which will
be.” (Marcus Aurelius Antonius, The Meditations of the emperor
Marcus Aurelius Antonius. Book IV, 36)
Distance traveled: 270km
Some photos from yesterday
and the day before as I couldn't get my computer to download the
